Pre-K Teacher

Don’t get caught as the children’s art canvas as you walk into Ms. Rose’s room!  For over 20 years she has been encouraging art creations from mixing shaving cream & glue to using your toes as paint brushes, and everything in between.  Bible stories come alive when Ms. Rose dresses like Biblical characters.  Our youngest students are embraced in compassion every moment they are in Ms. Rose’s care.

Kindergarten Teacher

If you go home dirty, it was a good day in Pre-K! While Ms. Melanie’s favorite color is glitter, Mud Day is her favorite day. Guiding children to experience the world God created for them has given her the most joy for the past 12 years. Pre-K students feel the love of Jesus as they spend time in Ms. Melanie’s classroom.

Kindergarten Teacher

He is speaking to each of us, and we must learn to listen. Ms. LeeAnne’s calming presence help students hear the voice of God. Patience and peace with peers parallels the harmonious relationship between math and art in her classroom. For 6 years she has touched minds and hearts as she shares each daily lesson.

1st and 2nd Grade Teacher

Watch out for the tornado of letters, sounds, blends, and phonemes as you enter Ms. Lara’s reading room! Every child CAN read, and Ms. Lara’s been helping students unlock the mystery of reading for 12 years. The best book for beginning readers is the Bible where she encourages students to experience the adventure of their own budding faith in Christ.

3rd and 4th Grade Teacher

Pack your backpack because Ms. Lisa’s on an educational adventure! Patience and persistence over 30 years have allowed her to do it all; multi-age classrooms, “aha!” moments, overcome challenges, treacherous hikes, and more. She couldn’t have done it without God’s unbounding love and that’s what your student will experience on their adventure with her as the chief!

5th and 6th Grade Teacher

Pack your compass and get ready to climb higher, because Ms. Mary is leading our students to the summit of their elementary journey! With 3 years of passion and dedication, she knows how to navigate the exciting transition into middle school. In her classroom, students don’t just prepare for the next grade; they discover the unique talents and purpose God has given them. Ms. Mary loves helping students anchor their growing independence in a budding faith, ensuring they step forward into the world with confidence, curiosity, and the love of Jesus guiding their path!

Ms. Mercedes does it all! Art teacher? She’s your girl. Need a sub? She’s available. Ms. Tiffany needs tech support? Give her a call! Going on her 3rd year with St. John Lutheran School, Ms. Mercedes is passionate about enriching the young minds that are the future of our community. No matter the task, big or small, Ms. Mercedes can’t wait to jump in wherever she is needed!

Life is an adventure, there is something new to be learned around every corner, no matter your age! Julie turns everyday activities into learning lessons. Her many jobs over the years have always included children, education and fundraising focus. When Julie is not busy being an Uber driver for her 3 children, she enjoys spending time with friends, and being creative with cooking and crafting.

Ms. Carol has been a member of St. John Lutheran Church for over 65 years. Being the hands and feet of Jesus is what she was called to do. As an experienced accountant for 45+ years, $he keeps everyone in line! Carol is a mother of two and a proud grandmother of 3.
